We want Byres Road to be a people-friendly space. A place where you can cycle with a friend, nip across to a shop that has caught your eye, chat with ease, and saunter around.

In the current environment toxic fumes belch from exhausts, drivers manically manoeuvre, pedestrians dash between gaps in cars and pressured cyclists try to keep up. A hostile environment.

The £9M investment from the City Deal presents us with an opportunity to tackle these ills that currently afflict Byres Road. We can make it a pleasant place to be.
